Rules for Synthetic Turf Field

  1.  Footwear Requirements
    ◦ Molded cleats, turf shoes, or flat-soled athletic shoes only.
    ◦ No metal cleats, high heels, or any footwear that could damage the turf.
  2. Prohibited Items
    ◦ No food or gum (including sunflower seeds or nut shells).
    ◦ No glass containers, cans, or alcohol.
    ◦ No tobacco products, including chewing tobacco or vaping.
    ◦ No pets.
    ◦ No sharp objects, stakes, tents, or poles that puncture the surface.
    ◦ Water Only! No other drinks allowed (i.e. no gatorade, sports drinks, fruit punch, etc.).
  3. Field Maintenance Respect
    ◦ No dragging equipment (goals, benches) across the turf.  All small goals must be removed from the play surface and stored along the north fence line.  Large goals should not be moved unless requested in preparation for the use by football.
    ◦ Pick up all trash—dispose of it in nearby bins.
    ◦ Avoid spitting on the surface.
    ◦ Gated entrances are the only entrance/exit points on the field. Jumping over any fence is not authorized.
  4. Weather-Related Use
    ◦ Do not use during lightning or severe weather.
  5. Sports-Specific Use
    ◦ Only designated sports are permitted (e.g., football, soccer, lacrosse).
    ◦ No vehicles (bikes, scooters, golf carts, skates, skateboards, strollers).
    ◦ Golfing or other non-approved use is not authorized on the turf surface.
    ◦ During athletic competitions, all spectators shall remain off the turf area. Only players, coaches, referees, and league personnel are permitted in the turf area.
  6. Field Markings and Equipment
    ◦ Temporary markings (cones, tape) must be removable and non-damaging.
    ◦ No painting or chalking without written approval.
    ◦ No signs or banners are to be hung on or around the fields without the written approval of City Council.
    ◦ Only free-standing field markers and sports equipment may be used on the turf surface. No stakes, posts, tripods or poles of any kind may be driven into the turf surface.
  7. Use of Field and Scheduling
    ◦ Field/Facility usage must be approved by the field director.  Please submit all requests to the field director.  Some requests may take up to two months to obtain depending if MUSA has requested the day and time previously so plan ahead .
Failure to follow the above rules may result in loss of your team's synthetic turf field priviledges.
